When my mom was dying in 2010 I would
write her letters or send gospel CDs to her
for encouragement. She was saved at 24,
filled with the Holy Spirit shortly after and
immediately put in as the college class Sun-
day School teacher by our wonderful pastor. There was no room for the new class so
it was held in the kitchen. It grew immediately and some of those lanky young men
had to sit on the counters. The young women all wore skirts then so they were at the
tables. Her secret of success was that she was called and anointed to teach.
She always said that when she was a kid she was stubborn. Jesus took that negative
and used it to keep her going in her Christian walk. Nothing or no one was going to
keep her from serving the One she loved so much! The road was rough but she never
never complained or faltered. Such an example to all around her!
I sent this to her less than a month before she died. Gosh I miss her!
